Characterization of woven columns
Woven cylindrical shells are a fundamental shape to creating larger woven structures. Using first principles analysis and the application of related literature, I’ve derived elegant models for the stiffness and buckling forces of these woven columns. These models have been experimentally validated against vertical and horizontal weaver thickness and width, as well as column height.
