Robot Ideation and Design

These are some design sketches I made to meet the following requirements:

  1. Reach from 6″ to 11″ to knock off 6+/-2 cubes from 5″ and 10″ pipes
  2. Push 5+/-1 cubes simultaneously up a 30 degree incline in a 20+/-5 second time frame via Q2 ramp
  3. Load 14+/-4 cubes into teammate’s robot; able to load 4+/-2 cubes at a time

This is my team’s final design in SolidWorks.

Elevator: moves the bar up and down to reach different heights and knock off cubes (see below video for elevator demo). The bar starts folded up at the joints, then deploys automatically.

Ramp: simple design to push cubes into another team’s robot, shown below in video.
