When I saw this Ball jar sitting in the windowsill of an antique shop in Ludington, Michigan, I was captivated for two reasons. First, the reflections of light in this ball jar were particularly striking, as contrasting colors were reflected off the Ball logo. Second, the extra “L” in the Ball logo can be used to date the time period in which the jar was made: this one was created some time within 1900-1910.
